Payment, Escrow & Invoicing Authorization Notice

Please read this information before making payment on any invoice issued by AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P.

1. Who Is Billing You

Invoices for purchases completed through our auction platform are issued and managed by AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P.. Our platform works with independent sellers and Consignor companies that provide vehicles, boats, RVs, equipment, bank-repossessed assets, and other inventory offered through the platform.

AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. coordinates the transaction so that buyers have one clear process for invoicing, payment instructions, delivery, inspection, acceptance, and customer support.

2. Escrow Is Used for Most Transactions

For most transactions, buyer funds are handled through an independent U.S. escrow provider rather than being sent directly to the seller.

We use this structure primarily to protect the buyer. When escrow applies to your purchase, the seller does not receive your money simply because an invoice has been issued or because you have sent the payment.

Instead, the funds are held separately during the transaction and are released only in accordance with the applicable escrow and transaction terms. This creates a separation between the buyer's payment and the seller receiving the proceeds.

The purpose is simple: whenever escrow is used, we do not want a seller to receive the buyer's funds before the buyer has had the opportunity provided under the transaction terms to receive and inspect the vehicle or other asset and communicate the required acceptance.

3. How the Escrow Process Works

When your transaction qualifies for escrow, the process generally works as follows:

  1. Your invoice is issued. AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. provides the official invoice and transaction information.
  2. Escrow payment instructions are provided. The applicable escrow payment details are supplied after the invoice has been generated. Always use only the instructions associated with your official transaction.
  3. You send the required funds to the designated escrow account. The funds are not treated as a direct payment to the individual seller.
  4. The transaction proceeds to delivery and inspection. Delivery and any applicable inspection or acceptance period are handled according to the terms stated in your invoice, order confirmation, or purchase agreement.
  5. You make your decision. After receiving and inspecting the vehicle or asset, you communicate whether you accept it in accordance with the transaction terms.
  6. Funds are released only after the required acceptance conditions have been satisfied. Until then, the seller does not receive the escrowed purchase funds.
You do not need to search for an escrow company or independently arrange an escrow transaction.

If escrow applies to your order, the escrow process is arranged as part of the transaction managed through AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. The necessary instructions are provided to you after your invoice is issued. You should not create an account on an unrelated escrow website or send money using instructions obtained outside your official order process.

4. Why We Use Escrow

Buying a vehicle or other high-value asset remotely can involve a substantial payment before the transaction is fully completed. We therefore use escrow for most eligible transactions to provide an additional layer of protection between the buyer and seller.

  • Your money is not sent directly to an individual seller when the transaction is designated for escrow.
  • The seller does not receive the escrowed funds immediately simply because payment has been made.
  • The payment remains separate from the seller while the applicable delivery, inspection, and acceptance conditions are being completed.
  • You receive official payment instructions for your specific transaction after the invoice is issued.
  • You do not need to locate or register with a separate escrow website yourself. When escrow applies, the required process is coordinated as part of your AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. transaction.

This process is intended to make remote purchases safer and clearer for the buyer and to prevent the seller from receiving transaction funds before the applicable acceptance requirements have been completed.

5. Direct Company Payments — Secondary Payment Method

Escrow is not required for every transaction. Certain inventory may be sold directly by AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. or by an established Consignor or business partner with whom we have a direct written or contractual relationship.

For those transactions, your invoice may instruct you to make payment directly to the applicable company's authorized business account instead of an escrow account.

If direct payment applies, the official invoice will clearly identify the authorized company name and payment details for that specific transaction. A different company name on the receiving account may therefore be valid when that company is the seller, Consignor, or an authorized contractual partner involved in the transaction.

The payment method applicable to your purchase is determined by the specific transaction and will be shown on your official invoice. Do not substitute a different payment method or destination on your own.

6. Our Responsibility to the Buyer

Regardless of whether your transaction uses escrow or an authorized direct company payment, AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. manages the transaction process and remains your primary point of contact.

  • Transaction oversight — we coordinate the process from invoicing and payment through delivery and acceptance.
  • Payment instructions — the authorized payment destination for each transaction is identified through the official transaction documentation.
  • Buyer support — questions regarding payment, delivery, inspection, acceptance, or a transaction dispute should be directed to us.
  • Single point of contact — buyers are not expected to independently negotiate payment arrangements with individual sellers.

7. Protecting Yourself Before Sending Funds

Always verify payment instructions before sending money.

  • Send funds only according to the payment instructions provided for your official AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. transaction.
  • If escrow applies, do not send the purchase funds directly to the seller instead of the designated escrow destination.
  • Do not create an account with an unrelated escrow website simply because someone contacts you and asks you to do so.
  • We do not instruct buyers to send vehicle purchase funds to an individual's personal bank account when the transaction is represented as an escrow transaction.
  • If payment details unexpectedly change after your invoice has been issued, verify the new instructions directly with AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. before sending any funds.
  • If anything appears unusual, stop and contact us using the verified contact information associated with your order.

8. Questions About Your Payment?

If you are unsure whether your transaction uses escrow or direct company payment, or if you want to verify the payment destination before sending funds, contact AUCTION EQUITIES, L.P. using the contact information provided with your order documentation.

We encourage buyers to verify anything they do not understand before making payment. We would rather confirm the information with you before funds are sent than have you make a payment you are uncertain about.
