1991 Land Rover Defender 110 by E.C.D. Automotive Design

This 1991 Land Rover Defender 110 by E.C.D. Automotive Design is finished in Nara Bronze with a Black/Brown interior. It combines classic Defender styling with a custom 6.2-liter V8, 4WD/AWD capability, a 5-speed manual transmission, and a range of upgraded equipment, making it a distinctive example of the iconic off-road SUV.

This left-hand-drive Defender was modified by Florida-based E.C.D. Automotive Design and is titled in Massachusetts. Its factory-fitted engine was replaced by a General Motors-sourced 6.2-liter LS3 V8 during the customization process, according to a build sheet pictured in the gallery. The attached Carfax history report starts in 2019 and lists no accidents since. An E.C.D. Automotive Design build sheet is pictured in the gallery, and a partial list of notable currently installed equipment includes an air suspension system, front and rear Brembo disc brakes, a roof rack, heated modular Puma front seats, air conditioning, and a Sony touchscreen. Land Rover introduced the four-door 110 and the two-door 90 in 1983 and 1984, respectively, to replace the long-running Series III. While both models looked a lot like their predecessors, they offered users a more up-to-date interior, a permanent four-wheel drive system, and a coil spring suspension system. The 110 and the 90 morphed into the original Defender in 1990, though the numerical designations remained to differentiate two- and four-door models, and production carried on with minor updates until 2016. Power comes from a 6.2-liter V8. Output is sent to the four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed transfer case.
